The Nissan Z is a brand-new sports car that replaces the outgoing 370Z. With this new coupe, the alphanumeric name of its predecessors is replaced with a lone-standing "Z." The simpler name of the new model by no means signifies an ordinary coupe. The Nissan Z offers an exciting mix of iconic sports-car styling and modern innovation. Apart from a more powerful engine, this sports car features a redesigned cabin and updated features and technologies.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The classic sports car proportions of the Nissan Z include a long hood and a short rear deck. Two trim levels are offered: the Sport and Performance. A limited-edition Proto Spec trim is also provided. Only 240 models of this model will be available.
The Sport trim is equipped with standard features such as LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. With the Performance trim, you receive various upgrades such as a rear spoiler, heated side mirrors, and larger brakes. The trim also comes with 19-inch forged Rays wheels and a performance exhaust. The limited-edition Proto Spec model features various aesthetic upgrades such as unique yellow brake calipers, a two-tone yellow and black exterior, and bronze-colored 19-inch Rays wheels with summer tires.

Engine (Power)
The powerful twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine of the Nissan Z produces an output of 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional nine-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
To provide you with superior sports car performance, the Nissan Z is equipped with new mono-tube shocks, new front geometry, and rear suspension tuning. New to the Z is electric power steering, resulting in improved control and precision. For stronger braking power, opt for the available sport brakes, which feature 14-inch front rotors with four-piston calipers. The Nissan Z gains improved traction through an available limited-slip differential system, which distributes power to the wheels with the most grip.
Interior
The cabin of the Nissan Z offers an alluring mix of the old and the new. The new center stack offers old-school touches such as three analog gauges while also housing a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster. The modern 8-inch infotainment system is well-equipped with standard features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, satellite radio, USB ports, and six speakers. You can upgrade the system with various features, including a 9-inch display, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay functionality, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, and navigation.
While the base trim is fitted with automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, the Performance trim adds leather upholstery and power-adjustable and heated seats. The Proto Spec trim comes with a faux suede door trim, yellow interior accents and stitching, and a unique shifter.

Safety Features
All Nissan Z models are generously equipped with a range of advanced driver-assist features, such as lane-departure warning and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. You also receive forward-collision mitigation and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
