New Nissan Rockville, MD

What Does the 2024 Nissan Warranty Cover?

Base Coverage

The base warranty covers a plethora of components and systems in your vehicle. The only items not covered are those protected by one of the warranties below or those specifically excluded in the warranty booklet. In the event of any issue with a covered component caused by the workmanship or materials, the affected component will be repaired or replaced.

Base coverage applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles. Exclusions include things like damage from theft, misuse, lack of maintenance, or accidents.

Powertrain Coverage

This coverage protects all components in your engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain. In addition, your Nissan’s restraint system airbags and control systems are also included. Covered components include the engine’s cylinder heads, block, and all internal parts, the automatic transmission control unit, and the drive shafts.

Warranty protection applies for the first five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. As in the warranty above, certain components are excluded, and these exclusions are listed in your warranty booklet.

Corrosion Coverage

Corrosion can rapidly eat through almost every type of metal, but your Nissan body metal and sheet metal have special rust-proofing applied during its construction. You don’t need to have any further rust-proofing. In the unlikely event that corrosion appears and causes perforation damage, which is rust that penetrates the metal from one side to the other, the affected panel will be replaced for free.

Corrosion protection applies for your Nissan for the first five years, regardless of mileage.

Federal Emissions Warranty

Every Nissan is built to standards. These standards require that your emissions system will work effectively to remove almost all dangerous chemicals produced by combustion. There is a Emission Defects Warranty, where the majority of your emission system components are protected for three years or 36,000 miles.

Certain parts of the emissions system, like the catalytic converter, engine control unit, and the onboard diagnostic device, have enhanced coverage that extends to eight years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Seatbelt Limited Warranty

Your seatbelts, and all related parts of the seatbelt system, are protected against any defect or issue for ten years.
